Step-by-Step Guide: Uploading Custom Fonts to Your Wix Website

Uploading a custom font to your Wix website can elevate your brand's style, make your site memorable and improve the overall user experience. With Wix's easy-to-use platform, you can add unique fonts that help your website stand out in a sea of generic designs.

Follow these simple steps for uploading your own font to your Wix website and elevate your site's aesthetic.

1. Prepare your font file

Before you begin, ensure you have the correct file type for your custom font. Wix supports TrueType Fonts (TTF), OpenType Fonts (OTF), and Web Open Font Format (WOFF). Check the licensing terms for commercial use if you're using a non-original font to avoid any potential legal issues.

Find tons of creative fonts here, including some free options.

2. Access the Wix Editor

Log in to your Wix account and navigate to the site you'd like to customize. Click on "Edit Site" to open the Wix Editor.

3. Open the theme manager

Locate the toolbar on the left-hand side of the editor interface. Click on "Site Design" (the A with a paintdrop icon) to access editing options for fonts, colors, and other design elements.

4. Navigate to the font section

Within the Theme Manager, find the "Text Theme" section. Here you'll be able to customize text styles used throughout your website.

5. Add a custom font

Click on any of the text styles and use the drop-down to show all the fonts panel. At the bottom of the Fonts panel, click on "Upload Fonts" and then click on "Upload Fonts" in the following window. Choose and upload your prepared TTF, OTF, or WOFF font file from your computer.

6. Apply your new font

Once uploaded, your custom font will appear among the pre-made fonts within Theme Manager. To apply it, click on any text style (such as headers or paragraphs) within the Fonts panel, then select your custom font from the dropdown menu.

7. Save and publish your changes

After applying your custom font, click on "Save" in the top-right corner of the Wix Editor. To see your newly implemented style across your entire website, click on "Publish."

By following these steps, you can successfully upload your own font to your Wix website and give your site a personalized touch. Custom fonts help create a cohesive and stylish brand identity while enhancing your website's overall appeal. Enjoy the creative freedom that comes from adding unique fonts to your design arsenal!
